On 13 May 2012, NBC announced their cancellation of The Sing-Off, a reality competition show in which a cappella groups compete to be named the Sing-Off champion. The show, which featured real talent, real heart, a positive message, and a family friendly format which hasn’t been seen in years on network television was a beacon of light in a dismal TV schedule.
Join the cause to help save The Sing-Off, whether that be (unlikely) returning the show to NBC or (much more likely) getting Sony to push the show to other networks, this show needs to continue!

I need to spread the word. Hawaii has way better avocados than the Hass avocados here in California. The flavor is so much better. There are different varieties, and can have a nutty flavor or a buttery flavor, but never tasteless like Hass. People really need to try Hawaii avocados. (I never buy avocados in California, unless they’re a quarter each or cheaper, because I’m used to getting superior avocados for free in Hawaii. But if I could get Hawaii avocados here, I’d probably pay $2 for one.)

The Spar (which is pretty much a convenience store), at least the one on Roebuck near UCD law school, has better pain au chocolat than pretty much anywhere I’ve ever tried in the United States. And back in 2003 it was under 1 EUR (70 or 80 cents in EUR, I can’t remember).
